Dutch Heritage Gardens is a family owned and operated wholesale greenhouse located 15 miles east of Monument, Colorado!
We were established in 2006 on over 100 acres of pristine property in Larkspur, Colorado by Aaron Van Wingerden, a third-generation greenhouse grower. Since our inception, it has continually been our goal to supply Colorado with the quality and love of locally grown products. Additionally, we strive to preserve our vision of offering truly unique products with flair in hopes to inspire our customers to see and experience the beauty of gardening.
We offer a wide variety of products ranging from industry staples for the hands-on garden enthusiast, to the unique upscale garden designs for the demanding consumer seeking timeless beauty.
At an elevation of 7000 feet, we passively cool and strengthen all our plants and to capture the high light intensity to create healthy and vibrant plants that flourish in our unique Colorado climate. Our commitment to the Colorado buyer is more than just culturing plants; it’s also doing everything we can to support local business and local providers.
Our current 9-acre state-of-the-art facility (originally 6 acres in 2006, with a 3-acre expansion added in the spring of 2011) was designed with various environmentally friendly practices in mind. Our mission of going green encompasses various eco-friendly attributes such as energy efficient furnaces, controlled automated irrigation systems, utilize recycled water and environmentally conscious growing medium. The materials we purchase from local companies are energy efficient, environmentally friendly and whenever possible, made from recycled materials. All our locally grown products are cultivated utilizing various growing methods that allow us to greatly reduce if not completely eliminate the use of harmful chemicals. Additionally, we encourage our growers to dedicate time towards learning, exploring and staying current on innovative methods on growing. We strive to achieve this goal by organizing educational seminars on location as well as visiting other growing facilities. They also have access to trade shows around the country which allows them to stay connected and establish relationships with industry peers and professionals. Through continual engagement, our growers can truly realize their full potential and focus on delivering outstanding products to our consumers.
Currently, our products are sold in King Soopers, Sam’s Clubs and Ace Hardware stores throughout Colorado and parts of Utah and Wyoming.
